While serving at Holy Spirit Parish in McAllen, Erik’s involvement included being a Christmas Choir member, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity helping build homes for those in need, leading two bilingual young adult small faith communities at two parishes, along with helping launch the first Men’s ACTS retreat, Men’s “Spanish” ACTS retreat, and “Teen” ACTS retreat within the Diocese of Brownsville. Additionally, he has served as a team leader in 15 separate retreats, where they helped in teaching other parishes within the diocese how to lead their own ACTS retreat. All ACTS and the Young Adult ministries have continued to grow in their scope and fruitfulness since their inception.
Erik and his wife Lilly have been married for 13 years and are the extremely blessed parents to their 9-year-old son Adam. They are active members of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in McAllen, Texas. In his spare time, he enjoys barbecuing, spending time with family, and working on baseball drills with his son.
