The Greater Mission team is pleased to welcome Art Ledesma, who boasts over a decade of bilingual development experience and three decades of direct service to the Catholic Church.

For over a decade, Art served as the Vice President of Mission Advancement Services at O’Meara, Ferguson, Whelan and Conway, consulting nationally with parishes, dioceses, and other religious institutions. In additional to conducting planning studies and stewardship enhancement initiatives, Art has coached over 100 parishes through capital and endowment campaigns. Prior to that, Art served the Catholic Archdiocese of Portland through parish administration and ministerial service for 18 years, and is a former Co-Executive Director of Hogar Infantil, C.C., a large orphanage located in the State of Chiapas, Mexico.

Art earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, and currently resides in Portland, Oregon.

Art commented that he is “looking forward to partnering with colleagues who have a deep commitment to advancing the mission of the Catholic Church” and mentioned that he is especially excited to continue his service to the Hispanic community, emphasizing that “to work effectively within the Hispanic community one must look beyond simply translating materials from English to Spanish. One must be culturally sensitive to their faith practices, encouraging them to progress in their journey to spiritual development.”

Forty percent of the Greater Mission team speaks Spanish, which positions the firm uniquely to engage the Church’s growing Hispanic population throughout the United States. The firm’s members offer to clients a combined record of 100 years of service to the Church and experience directly leading or consulting on efforts that have raised over $1 billion. In addition to capital campaign and other fund-development services uniquely tailored to the circumstances of each client, Greater Mission helps the Church’s members grow in discipleship and stewardship through With All Your Heart/Con Todo Nuestro Corazon, a bilingual parish advancement model.
