The process includes assigning a request rating based on a blend of direct giving history and research findings. Many databases are researched to determine which constituents may have the capacity to make a 6, 7 or even 8 figure gift.
Real estate holdings, business ownership, public stock, and external philanthropic giving are key sources. Donors are then ranked to help development professional staff focus their limited time on the best leadership candidates.
