We Are the Lord's

Brothers and sisters: None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself. For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For this is why Christ died and came to life, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living. (Rom 14:7-9)

Whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. Stewardship starts here. We are the Lord’s. And if we are the Lord’s, so is every relationship, every possession, every breath, everything we have. This includes our bodies as Paul teaches in Corinth – “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?” (1Cor 6:19) This profound relationship between God and each of us changes everything about who we are and who God is to us. What does it change for you?

That we may know that, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s, we pray to the Lord..
