Heart to Share invites each parishioner to give freely in a spirit of faith. A campaign invites new pledges over a period time to provide help to address parish needs.
“Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor. 9:7)
Many people don’t see a close connection between their spirituality and financial generosity. Jesus taught frequently about attachment to ‘treasure’ as a threat to entering the Kingdom. Money tends to compete for our hearts. Stewardship teaches us that all we have is pure gift from God. Those who commit to faithful generosity often live with a greater sense of gratitude, peace, purpose and joy. The Heart to Share Season offers a time each year to teach these principles and to invite parishioners to consider increased offertory giving in a spirit of faith.
