“Beloved: I am already being poured out like a libation, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.”
This is the invitation to each of us who are called to mature from being believers to disciples to apostles – those who hear the call to be sent, which is the rally cry spoken at the end of every Mass. Are we willing, like Paul, to be humbly and sacrificially poured out in love for God, for one another, and for our neighbors of every race, creed and color?
