On that day you will realize that I am in my Father and you are in me and I in you. Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus teaches his disciples and us the essential connection between love and faithfulness. If we want God to reveal himself to us, come to know his great love for us, live in and for the love of Christ, and experience the great joy we hear about in the first reading, we must be willing to be radically faithful to his commandments.
