How can we bear good fruit as evidence of our repentance? According to Jesus in this Sunday’s Gospel, it begins with our repentance. In the second reading, St. Paul points to three keys…
“By our endurance and by the encouragement of the Scriptures, we have hope.”
“Think in harmony with one another.”
“Welcome one another as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
Bearing good fruit is not an option for those of us committed to Christ. It begins from the merciful love of Jesus within us and pours out through us to others.
