He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:15-16)
This may be the most important question you and I are ever asked? But, who do you say that Jesus is? St. Paul builds on Peter’s reply by adding further to who Jesus is as the Son of the living God. Paul writes, “For who has known the mind of the Lord or who has been his counselor? Or who has given the Lord anything that he may be repaid? For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. (Romans 11:34-36). This is the essence of our relationship with God as Christian stewards. All things are from and through Him. But also, all things are for Him. That leads us into our shared mission as co-stewards of the Church.
