“You are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises” of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
St. Paul teaches us that it’s important to know who we are – chosen, called, belonging. Who we belong to is most important. We belong to the great I AM. In the Gospel today, Jesus points to himself and says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Who we are begins with whose we are. That is the start of our stewardship story. Once we know that we belong to God, so must everything else in our lives.
